Presentation - Metaltech Precision

South West England's Largest & Most Versatile Sub-Contract Manufacturing Facility. Established over thirty years ago, the business now has a multi-million pound turnover operating from our 4 acre site in Somerset. We offer a range of high-precision machining and fabrication facilities rarely matched in the sub-contract industry.
With over 40 CNC machines and 70 staff, we can offer a diversity of supply from sliding head turning to a fully welded and painted 10 ton fabrication.
With 24 CNC turning machines, we now have over 10000 production hours available per month. We undertake work for prototype stage through to high volume production.
Maximum capacity is currently 650mm diameter X 1500mm long on our CNC turning section. Many machines are equipped with hydrafeed barfeeds and we can bar feed up to 100mm diameter.
We undertake work in virtually all materials including exotics such as titanium, inconel and hastelloy.
Metaltech entered the sliding head market and acquired 2 Star SV-32 with 32mm bar capacity.
Our milling capabilities include CNC Bedmills, CNC Vertical Machining Centres and twin pallet VMC's
Maximum CNC capacity is currently 2 metres X 1 metre. Many machines are equipped with the 4th axis for one-hit machining operations.
We have an extensive range of manual machines to compliment our CNC equipment.
" Manual turning up to 3 metres, between centres
" Manual milling up to 6 metres in length
" Manual grinding including centreless, cylindrical and surface.
" Slotting and sawing facilities
Full mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assembly facilities are available.
Our welders are fully trained to ASME standards in MIG and TIG. We currently work in up to 80mm thick plate.
Guillotine and press braking facilities are also available.
We also offer shot blasting and painting to enable us to offer the finished product where required.
Our equipment is precisely calibrated by a UKAS approved laboratory where required.
