Founded by Ghourra and Sawaya Families in 1959, with technical
assistance of leading German (Kermage), and began activities
as sole manufacturer of ceramic sanitary ware and wall tiles in
Lebanon. In early 1970 the Gargour family acquired controlling
interest in the company. Following that acquisition, they
expanded into Egypt and established Lecico Egypt SAE in
1975.
Engaged through its subsidiaries, in the manufacture and
marketing of a range of ceramic products, including sanitary
ware and floor and wall tiles within Egypt and worldwide.
One of world.s largest sanitary ware producers and important tile
producer both in Egypt and Lebanon. Developed into major
exporter by producing competitively-priced sanitary ware to
exacting European quality standards. One of largest suppliers
to UK, France, and Ireland. Exports in ME represent 30% of
total exports, particularly Libya, Algeria, KSA and Iraq. In 2009,
launched both of .Sarreguemines. (Egypt) and .Stile. (for Italian
market) in partnership with SFA Group. In 2010, launched
Sarrdesign. in partnership with Raouf Shaarawi. New brand.s more than 20 years. In 2004, Mobica.s industrial base had been expanded to include 22 factories occupying an area of 280,000 m2 and covering a large scope of furniture production businesses varying from office, medical , educational & contract furniture.
In addition to this wide array of products, Mobica offers full customization option for all its ranges to fulfill customers. individual needs, group operates four show-rooms & commercial offices in Egypt for the regional access Mobica operates two show rooms & commercial offices in Dubai & Abu Dhabi in UAE, that is plus strong distribution networks in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar & Libya.
Since 1976, Mobica is considered to be same of the largest integrated buildings systems manufacturer in the Middle East. It is also partnering with international automotive brands to supply their seats and upholstery.
In 2010, Signed a huge contract with Sodic to develop its headquarters and a showroom in Wes town. Mobica is acquiring the right to develop 11,338 sqm of built up area over 6,542 sqm of land for EGP50M.
